The Group Camp Site within Osage Hills State Park in Bartlesville Oklahoma.

What is Included?

Your Registration Fee includes Cabin accommodations and all open activities. Meal Plans are optional but strongly recommended. They are the best option/value.

If you want to do a workshop or get one of the vending spaces register as soon as possible!

It was a heartfelt calling to Frigga and the Disir to protect us during the Wild Hunt, an honoring of the ladies who have gone before us, who spend an amazing amount of time watching over the family.  To these ladies we set out a plate of food and poured a libation of wine into the blotbowl.

It was fantastic.

What did you do for Winternights?

Just keeping you up to date on August 22nd. Due to the request of our two guests from Chicago, Freyfaxi is going like this.

1:30pm – Blot at the Hearth to Glorious Frey!

2:30pm – Horse rides.

4:00pm – Bayern Stube.

I know this last part is a change we’ve made on our own, so if the Stube (not cheap) is an issue for you, please know that I’ve decided I want my birthday present to be to assure EVERYONE who attends our Freyfaxi celebration can fully enjoy our favorite restaurant in the world. If this means we help pick up the tab for some…so be it. HAIL TO THE GOLDHATERS!!!

Uh….y’all DO like the Stube, right? If you haven’t been there, YOU WILL!

Start thinking about Trothmoot 2011, at Osage Hills State Park in beautiful  Pawhuska, OK, near Bartlesville, June 2-5. 2011.  It is a gorgeous space, and more important, the cabins, as well as the great hall, have something VERY important for summers in OK…AIR CONDITIONING!!

We are looking at the weekend of the 21st.  We are going to call the horse stable and see if they can let us do this on Sunday, so folks who work on Saturday can still make the festivities.

As always, we are going to hold a potluck.

Had a lovely time on Mayday.  It was a little too wet to do the bonfire or the maypole dancing, but we enjoyed the company none the less!

Hail the gods, for they bring us reason to rejoice!

a fully searchable modern Icelandic-English dictionary — which has some different spelling conventions and vocabulary and such from Old Norse, but which is close enough to be potentially useful to lore- heads. A very nice feature is that it has some ability to identify irregular and strong verbs: type in “gekk” (I went”) and you’ll get the infinitive “ganga” (“to go”). Anyone interested in the old language — or its modern, very much living descendant — should check this one out.

Every year we celebrate Freyfaxi here at the Hearth.

This year, as we do every year, we invited our friends to help us celebrate by riding horses and feasting!

We had a wonderful time on the horses this year and we had a total of 8 friends help us celebrate.  We also were blessed enough to help our friend, Dean, to bless an old sword.

We had brats, roast beef, potato salad, and lots of other wonderful food.  We hailed Frey and shared some fantastic wine with him in Blot.

All in all, a fantastic time.
